Baby weight be gone: The beginning

My little munchkin is now 9 months old and is the roly-poly light of my existence. MY roly-poly-after-preggie body is the embarrassment of my existence. Her pudgy arms, buddha belly & chubby legs make her adorably squeezable. MY pudgy arms, buddha belly & chubby legs make me loath cameras & reflective surfaces. It’s time to banish the remaining blubber before it morphs from “a lil’ extra baby weight” into a full blown flabalanch!

Before: lovely & slim and After: I don’t even wanna look

Here’s how I plan to (hopefully) transform back into the before version…

I firmly believe that physical activity combined with sensible eating is the only method that actually sheds flab, tones muscles and keeps you looking & feeling great!

My slim down tools are: Daily workouts (I chose Pre & post natal workouts, Power of 3 & Three 30 minute workouts  *cheaper if you get the box set, all by Davina McCall – awesome because she & her trainers are believable & real), comfortable & supportive running shoes, maximum hold sports bra (as I’m still nursing & have ginormous milk-filled boobs this is an absolute must!), a fantastic workout buddy who needs daily walks & never makes me feel crappy if I get out of breath, pre-prepared healthy snacks to nibble on between meals and a funky cool bottle to hold all the water I’ll be drinking…

Last but definitely not least: my babyweightbegone diary – a photo journal of my workouts & meals -  which I’ll be posting every week to keep me motivated!

Keeping a written slim-down-journal is one thing but it’s amazing to actually see what I’ve eaten in a week – that’s a lot of bread(s)!*and although I don’t think having a piece of left over pie for breakfast is a crime, perhaps 3 pieces of pie in 2 days is a bit much…other than that I think I did pretty great for the first week – the post pregnancy workout every day and an honest attempt at healthier eating! It can only get better!

  1. I’m proud of you!!! 30 min workouts are brilliant! I remember when my girls were that age that’s the time I could give and it soon became time I longed for to keep my sanity!!! I have no prob blowing sunshine… You’re gorgeous and your pre and post pics aren’t shocking , if anything impressive!!! And I know from experience your 4-legged partner is a great one to have, he is so enthusiastic!!! I’ll be cheering you on, along with myself!!! Xoxo


  2. LOL! I can’t believe you posted before and after pics! But I’d dare say, look at your boobs in the after pic!!!! LOL That’s the power of breastfeeding right there! Look for me to join you tomorrow.
