Sweet Sweater Simplicity

Here’s a couple of insanely quick fixes for those old moth-eaten sweaters hibernating at the bottom of your stash…

a lil’ leather & some purty patchy pockets…

let’s get fixin’:

I snagged this ‘designer’ sweater on Winterschlussverkauf (super winter sale) for a mere €0.50…

I figured it would be a snap to repair the rips in the neckline & as it already had an awesome leather-zip…

my refashionista brain kicked into gear & I grabbed the remaining leather bits leftover from my (itsy) bitsy books

& chopped ’em into a bunch of triangular shapes…

then stitched some around the neckline…

& added a few more…

giving perfect mended-hole-coverage + a groovy new neckline!

I saved my father-in-law’s old wool sweater from the bin, washed it in hot to shrink it to fit me, stitched up the remaining moth-bites & added a couple of fancy schmancy quilting patches (pinched from Oma) for purty pockets…

2 delightfully easy yet fabulously fantastic cardi fixes!

all the tutes!
