As the temperatures continue to plummet and the dampness creeps further into my old bones I want nothing more than stay curled up under my duvet and snuggle in with a hot cuppa tea and a good book but life must be lived & work must be done so instead I turn to my comfy cozy winter wardrobe to keep me toasty warm…
I am crazy in love with my fancy fleece-lined Norwegian style leggings!
I scored an awesome 1980’s silky red blouse for a mere 50¢ last week at the charity shop but was at a bit of loss for how to style it…until I spied Nina’s groovy Rot Kariert outfit post and got my next Thrifty Copycaton!
Just a couple of plaid princesses whohilariously happen to have the exact same floor lamp!

While Emmy pulls off this look with her zany attitude & the grace of youth I simply look like the eccentric shopping cart lady most people cross the street to avoid…
Check out Emmy’s Cheap Bitch post for her complete ensemble + her farewell ode to pants …
Vintage Lace is one of my absolute fave items to score at the charity shop. From delicate handmade doilies to an old yellowed bridal trousseau, if it’s lovely & lacy I’ll snap it up, clean it and stash it until inspiration strikes!
I spent the better part of my 20’s living in Tokyo…
A delightful lunch at the onsen (hot spring day spa)
working at a pretty awesome job…
Akk! That date looks positively vintage today!
I have fond (& rather offbeat) memories of my time spent in Japan and thus a great affection for all things authentically Asian.
An actual vintage score from my time in Tokyo that managed to join me on my many international moves, unfortunately the matching trousers didn’t survive, fortunately it coordinates perfectly with my tattoos!
